Sunday 17th August - Drum & Bass Takeover with Emily Makis

Hi everyone! DDC Family proud to announce hottest Drum&Bass event of this summer! On Sunday 17th of August we are taking over Limassols legendary Guaba Beach Bar! To make it even more special, we are honoured to invite Emily Makis for the first time in Cyprus!

Fresh off her victories as the acclaimed “Best Vocalist” at the Drum&Bass Awards of last years and snagging “Best Track” at the Youth Music Awards, 2023 marked a pivotal year for Emily Makis. Collaborating on the groundbreaking “Phoneline” with Pola & Bryson and earning co-writing credits alongside Becky Hill for the massive hit “Disconnect” by DnB heavyweights Chase & Status, Emily solidified her position as one of the most recognizable vocalists in the UK underground scene. Now, she ascends to even greater heights with her latest release, “My Type”.

With a voice described as ‘heavenly’ and ‘enthralling’ by DJ Mag, Emily Makis’s emotive vocal lines can be heard on tracks from the freshest talent in Electronic music.
The last year has proven fruitful for the self-confessed studio gremlin, with her most recent
feature on K Motionz ‘High Note’ hitting number 1 in the Beatport Drum and Bass Top 100.

Emily’s dark, perceptual writings have amassed support from BBC Radio 1 and 1XTRA,
approaching the 6 million stream benchmark with Monrroe’s ‘Never Too Old’, featured in the
iconic ‘15 Years of Shogun Audio’ album alongside Friction and Technimatic.

It makes us even more proud that Cypriot origin artist made it so high in a Drum&Bass worldwide and we honoured to invite her back on her home turf.
