Estonian born, London based DJ Ilona Russanova aka LICA has enjoyed a rapid ascent through the electronic music scene with her unique deep, melodic and eclectic sound inspired by a spectrum of genres and diversity of tempo.

Estonian Lica aka Ilona, graced the decks back in 2008 taking the Drum n Bass scene by storm swiftly and organically moving on to Electronica, Indie Dance & Techno rising as a tour de force in the underground. 

A mindful, mischievous selector, encapsulated her impeccable taste propelling her to play in front of thousands at festivals across Eastern Europe.

Now residing in the unparalleled city - London, a multicultural melting pot bustling full of opportunities and obstacles, from the elegant west end, to the artsy east, Lica’s playful yet melancholic c channeled an infinite array of inspiration and relentless self belief into awakening creativity and curiosity portraying her namesake and spirit animal, the Fox throughout.

Equipped with the vinyl background that nourishes the innate knowledge of improvisation and the confidence for experimental mixing techniques, Lica incorporates a myriad of instrumental passages with mesmerising vocals, dynamic twists, sentimental selections fused with uplifting beats and powerful bass bombs. Always immersed in the moment, one with the crowd, dancing, releasing, serving the ultimate goal of unity through magnetic enrichment of energetic exchanges. Traversing the globe delivering her deep, melodic, eclectic sounds from the jungles of Tulum to Brazil, the Middle East, dusty Burning Man, and summer residencies across hotspots in Europe.

Lica is an avid music producer frequently recording lyrics with her own vocals, experimenting with instruments, and researching for unique sounds, with her EP Wild Awakes recently dropped in August 2022, and previous ‘LAU’ release on Secret Fusion, she is set for high horizons.
